At Bella Vista Trafoi, snow is much more than part of the landscape. It is deeply connected to the hotel's history, the Thöni-Gander family and a place shaped by a long tradition of skiing.

With its latest expansion, the historic hotel has found a new way to express this connection. Working with architect Matteo Thun, the family has created a new wing featuring 24 suites, inviting communal spaces and an extensive wellness area. At the heart of the project is the idea of bringing the surrounding natural environment of Trafoi into the guest experience.

This approach is particularly evident in the "Fire and Ice" area, where heat, relaxation and cooling come together in a carefully considered wellness concept, complemented by real snow from TechnoAlpin Indoor's SNOWSKY.

"We are snow people. We love snow and skiing."

For Stephan Gander and his family, incorporating snow into the new spa was therefore a natural decision. SNOWSKY produces real snow directly within the wellness area, offering a distinctive way to cool down after a sauna or heat experience.

In this way, snow becomes a connecting element between the history of Bella Vista, the mountain landscape of Trafoi and the contemporary wellness experience.
